Es ist mal wieder Wahl, und Facebook geht hin
Mal wieder ein kleiner Kick gegen die Pioniere des Überwachungskapitalismus: Facebook scheint auch in Kenia die ideale Plattform für Propaganda zu sein. Dessen ist man sich von staatlicher Seite bewusst und droht, Facebook auszusperren:
Facebook is in violation of the laws of our country. They have allowed themselves to be a vector of hate speech and incitement, misinformation and disinformation.
[...]
This country is bigger than a social media company or an entity. We will not allow Facebook, or any other social media company, to jeopardise security.
Mal schauen, was wirklich draus wurde. Davon abgesehen: Jede Facebook-Sperre ist ein Gewinn.
